Stations: Monadnock Menus, Surry Village Charter School, NH Healthy Eating Active Living, Keene State College Dietetic Internship Through presentations, takeaways, displays, and learning stations, we will learn how other communities successfully implemented farm to school food programs, make available innovative lessons for learning in the classroom, and identify next steps for our Education Working Group toward the completion of our goals:
Improve students' food literacy
Increase access to local food
Present engaging nutrition education
Promote healthier school meals
Share information, tools and resources
Build collaborations with local schools, service agencies, agricultural organizations and farmers We invite your input to guide the actions of our Education Working Group. OPEN TO EVERYONE, this network of people at the intersection of food systems and education are working to raise the awareness of the social, physical and economic impact of eating healthy, locally-produced food. In addition, we will provide an update from our Policy Working Group. Please bring your updates to share with the coalition.
