12th Annual International Conference on Environmental, Cultural, Economic & Social Sustainability, held by Common Ground Publishing's On Sustainability Knowledge Network in Portland, Oregon. I was one of a dozen Graduate Scholar Award recipients and presented A Scholar's Garden: Inquiring the landscape of food justice scholarship and implications for sustainability education.

Iquitos Images: A Visual Essay of the International Association of Universities' Conference on Blending Higher Education and Traditional Knowledge for Sustainable Development (Iquitos, Peru 2014). I was invited to speak as a panelist on the topic of "measures of sustainability - beyond campus greening." Thanks to a spur-of-the-moment motorcar trip with a fellow educator from England, I was able to explore the edges of Iquitos - an adventure that moved me far beyond the edges of my own experience of the world. This slideshow represents multiple edges - ecological, cultural, geopolitical, institutional, and personal.

Exploring the temporal landscape of historic Harrisville, NH with my PhD cohort. In Environmental History I came to understand that not only does the Earth have its own stories to tell (if we listen), we can understand our own stories more deeply through an environmental context; and when we do, we find richness and layers of meaning that weren't there before. It can change the way we walk through the world, and our work.

Monadnock Farm & Community Coalition's "Policy 201" Forum. MFCC's vision is a vibrant, safe and efficient local food system that enhances the health of our community, is profitable for farmers and producers, is accessible to all community members, conserves natural resources, and is sustained by strong leadership and commitment in the Monadnock Region.

Harvesting organic produce at the Westmoreland garden with Community Garden Connections, an Antioch University New England project that enjoins students, faculty, and community members in growing, harvesting, and donating fresh vegetables and herbs all for donation to Keene's Community Kitchen

The 2015 Landmark Studio & Design catalog features (on page 1) a custom-designed outdoor recycling station created through an innovative partnership between Landmark and Franklin Pierce University's Sustainability Center. Undergraduate students in my Sustainability Seminar course identified a community need for highly visible, accessible, and attractive facilities to encourage increased recycling by students walking across campus. They decided the design criteria for what became a new product, and worked with FPU's Facilities managers to secure sponsorship from Monadnock Disposal Service to cover the cost of the project. The two stations (which are made from recycled materials) are now an integral and well-utilized feature of the Rindge campus landscape, as well as an educational and outreach tool for students, families, and visitors.

I saw my first truck-garden bed when I volunteered with The City Repair Project's 2011 Earth Day event in Portland, Oregon. Among the many things I love about the PDX community are its creativity, hardiness, and innovative spirit.
